The Woodiversary
Apparently a couple's Fifth Wedding Anniversary is traditionally celebrated with wood. I don't think I've ever given anyone a gift of wood before, so this concept brings up a few pertinent questions. Is it considered proper to give your spouse a gift constructed of wood, or would a gift of firewood or something be considered more true to the tradition? I don't think that Jenny would be too awfully thrilled with waking up to a couple of logs in the bed.
In any case, today is our Wood Anniversary. Married for five years already. What an amazingly swift and life changing five years it has been. I truly love and cherish my wife, and I'm forever grateful for all that God has given us. We started out man and wife, and now we are also father and mother to two beautiful boys. The Lord has truly blessed us beyond measure.
To Jenny: All my love, all my life. Happy Anniversary!
